Jill Lebar, M.A., LMHC
Creative Alliances Director - Care Manager
Jill Lebar is the current Executive Director of Creative Alliances. She has spent the majority of her career attentively providing care management and crisis interventions to elders living at risk in the community. Jill is a certified Alzheimer's Association Care Consultant, and is also responsible for training other family caregivers and professionals on the disease and it's related disorders with her "train the trainer" Alzheimer's certificate.
Before coming to Creative Alliances, Jill coordinated the development of the Boston Metropolitan (Suffolk) Region of the National Family Caregiver Support Program. That program was dedicated to empowering family caregivers with resources, training, and support to allow them to be effective.
She also directed a corporate employees' elder education and referral program providing all the educational materials. As the director of an Alzheimer's special care center, Jill supervised a staff of professionals, worked directly with nursing home residents, and implemented the training for all staff members. Also she served as a counselor and care manager providing private consultations to elderly clients and their families.
Prior to her work with elders, Jill worked in the mental health system where she specialized in counseling and care coordination for those diagnosed with mental illness and substance addiction. She is still currently licensed through the Board of Allied Mental Health & Human Services Professions.
Jill has a double B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art at the University of New Hampshire. She earned her M.A. in Art Therapy at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In her spare time, Jill enjoys painting and refinishing antique furniture, gourmet cooking, outdoor fitness, home repair projects and spending time with her lovely French Bulldog at their home in the Berkshires. She also enjoys strolling her local towns in western mass -- Lenox, Lee, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington too.
