Geriatric Care Manager
As a member of the Creative Alliances team, Ireta Metchik brings outstanding academic credentials, comprehensive clinical expertise, and a genuine commitment to serving the elderly population. Her understanding and knowledge of the elder care system makes her a perfect advocate for her clients.
For almost 25 years, Ireta has diligently served frail elders in a variety of settings through non-profit organizations. She has worked in the both Boston and metropolitan New York areas. Ireta has provided consultation and supervision to social workers and other staff in nursing home settings. She is able to develop options enabling her clients to receive assistance as needed, yet achieve the confidence necessary to live at home if appropriate and safe. Based on her familiarity with the geriatric care system, she is easily able to coordinate provides and services that are most beneficial for her clients.
As an adjunct faculty member, she was responsible for educating students about elderly issues and furthered their interest in the field of gerontology.
Ireta is a recipient of the of the coveted Louis Lowy Certificate in Graduate Gerontology Studies at Boston University where she also received her M.S.W. Additionally, she received her B.A. summa cum laude from State University of New York in Albany.
